Borescopes are optical inspection devices consisting of a tube with an objective lens on one end and, most commonly, a video monitor on the other. They are designed to increase visibility in areas that are inaccessible by other means, most often tight or confined spaces. Borescopes are important predictive maintenance tools and are ideal for inspecting turbines, compressors, boiler tubes, and other equipment for signs of damage.
